Gaither supporters:
How do you account for the relatively tepid response to Gaither's restricted free agency?
Are there downsides that we're not seeing clearly, or is this simply a case of the Ravens having a wealth of talent on the offensive line and being willing to trade for other options?

Gaither could be available for less than first round pick

The first round and top of the second is going to have a lot of prime OT candidates from Okung to Brown to others. Plus, not only would a team give up a draft pick, they'll have to formulate a contract extension with him.
Plus, I doubt the Ravens are going to push hard one way or another. It's a good problem for them to have.

I think the zone is making Gaither out to be something he's not, but a second and a fifth is good value for a solid tackle
I'm pretty sure he's better than any tackle we have, besides Staley.
I completely agree. But he is not an elite tackle worth giving up a mid first round pick and giving a huge contract extention

R1: Brandon Graham - OLB
R1: Mike Iupati - OG
R2: Nate Allen - FS
R4: Perrish Cox - CB/KR
R5: LeRoy Vann - KR/PR/WR
w/ Jared Gaither...boom!
I'd fap to that

I agree, and I'd even throw in Snyder, I was never excited about that guy in the first place, even when we drafted him.

We should really get this done. Gaither + 2 first rounders!! Talk about a great offseason, no matter who we get with those two picks. Come on Baalke, pick up that phone and pull the trigger!!!

im not so sure i trust gaither on the left side, so if we were to pull the trigger, i would throw him on the right side. I feel alot more comfortable with staley and how he showed he was a good (could be great) left tackle. again, like the QB competition, its his job to lose and i dont think someone coming in should just be handed the job unless he is an elite player, which gaither is not.

offer the Ravens our 4th rounder this season and a 3rd next season for Gaither, then we would be in position to draft the best player available with our first two picks, be worth a shot

Well it could be teams don't want to pay him the big money he is looking for and he did have a scary neck injury last year and that could scare some teams off as well.
