Cmon already. Can this 49ers regime get any more ridiculous than considering this guy?
What a joke!

They will continue to look for help on D, in the secondary in particular. The Lions and 49ers are both interested in PacMan Jones and both of their coaches are expected to be at his workout March 19.

WTF?!?! It's not april yet!
Haven't seen much game tape of him but he does appear to be a ballhawk and gains ground when he has the ball in his hands. He's also at the bottom end of the size spectrum and I remember a game against the Raiders where Joey Porter caught a pass on the sidelines and he tried to shove him out.... but Porter didn't move laterally and blew forward for tons of YAC and a TD.
He breaks the philosophy of what type of team we have and the only thing I can make from this is that we're trying to force a team to move up in front of us in the draft in hopes that an OT drops to us?

Makes sense, Corner depth and a PR/KR who is comfortable with the ball. I don't see him getting into trouble here.
Say what you want about Nolan and McC getting too many "character guys" but it's those character guys that allow us to take chances on players with personality red flags. I think it'd be a good pick-up for us, so long as he and Sing are on each other's speed-dial.

Couldn't agree more. Having Clements and M. Lewis in the secondary allows you to take a chance on Pacman at the vet min. He still young can play nickel and dime packages and is a returner. No big deal if he is cut before the season starts.
If he comes cheap, I don't see any risk here. Why not try him out. Doesn't work out, cut him.

I don't know if the 9ers will sign him, but I know what's coming if he's not signed by any team before 4/1/10...

Sorry but we don't need a thug like PacMan on our team. The guy is a loser who has tried to have people killed. He is no longer as talented as he was when entering the NFL either.
NO THANK YOU!

I cannot believe the NFL will actually let this b***head play in the NFL again.
How many chances does this guy get? Does he have something on Goodell?
This guy should be banned permanently from the NFL. Heck, even the CFL
took a pass on him.
