Is Stephen Neal on the market? If so, he should be the target.
If not, Pitts is OK I suppose. A slight upgrade over Bass, but he's not much of a run blocker.

No, Pats resigned him. As far as Pitts, I follow the Texans and Pitts is nothing to write home about. he kept his job so long because Houston sucks at developing linemen. Couple that with him coming off an injury and I don't see any reason to sign him other than to motivate the guys we have to try harder. On the field, he sucks.

We need to add a free agent guard. Scout.com has Pitts ranked as the 3rd best FA guard behind Jahri Evans and Logan Mankins . . . of course assuming his knee checks out.

On Sirius yesterday, they were talking about how Detroit is going to make a BIG push for him. He may never make it onto the plane to come out. Perhaps Carr's call to him will help motivate him? That, and the free oboe autographed by Sing.
