In addition to the Seahawks and Bengals, free agent TE Chris Baker is also scheduled to visit with the 49ers this week. Should Baker sign with the 49ers, he would be limited to a strict blocking role behind Vernon Davis. We can get a blocking TE late in the draft. I guess we want a more veteran team???

Why waste a draft pick on a blocking TE when you can get one through FA?

Didnt we try that last year & it didnt pan out with drafting Bear Pascoe?

If Baker doesnt cost much I would gladly take him as a backup blocking TE. That is a role he is good at.
