Yup, took a calculated risk and it backfired. Knowing that they didn't plan on giving him a new deal I can't imagine that they expected to get a better offer.

Knowing his injury history how could one be such an idiot ? Take the best offer if it involves a 1st round pick. I'd be fuming if I was a Cards fan right now.

And what 2 weeks or so ago gave there GM an extension. Insert [faceplam] smiley.

Unfortunately it's still their division to lose since they are the NFC West champs, but I get what you are saying Pat. On paper they look weakened some but we still have 16 games of football to play

Glad he's gone. He's one of my favorite players in the league who doesn't play for the Niners. Ravens are going to be good next year.

Yeah, Im surprized KC didn't get more into this, their 3rd and 6th straight up for Boldin probably could have done it.
