I think the Jets traded for Cromartie so their running backs don't get hit too much during training camp.

Cromartie was an average-at-best CB last year, but he's shown he can be a play maker.
Giving up a 3rd in next year's draft sounds about right to me. This could very well turn out to be a steal for either team.

Nice pick up by the Jets. A 2011 pick is easily worth the risk for a team wanting to win a championship sooner rather than later. I figured they'd target a CB early in this draft but this is a much better approach IMO. This would allow them to target the best available WR or pass-rusher with their first round pick.
