Goldson and Atogwe would be fun to watch

I'd had given up on that pipe dream, but looks like there may be a chance

On a odd sort of side note, remember when Hill beat the Rams with that long pass to Morgan in '08, Atogwe should have batted down or picked that off, had he done so, the Niners would have lost and Sing may have not got the Job

Connection could be a double-edged sword... @sup3rduper Chances 49ers go after Atogwe? I would think Singletary connection would be in play.

I'd love Atogwe or Ryan Clark...Rolle if we can get him....I just want SOMEBODY....Move Goldson to SS and solve that issue, and bring in a legit FS.

WORD! Lewis is getting old and really suffers in coverage. Plus, he could be damaged goods after all those concussions. Bringing in a guy like Atogwe would help the pass D quite a bit IMO
whats the status of OJ? UFA or RFA with 7th rd tender?

Doesn't really matter...whatever teams sign him to the Rams will match. They wanted to sign him to a multi-year deal, but the two sides couldn't agree on the terms. Going this route would allow the Rams to get it done.

Yes, it's basically letting him test the water's with the chance they can get it done as cheap as possible.
what ever you want.......YOU WILL NOT GET..... scotty mac is being blackballed by the yorks, not allowed to spend big money this year " built" through the draft is total bs. scotty mac has spent big in the past for us and you know theres a couple of guys he would love to go get this year......just trying to save face by saying " we build through draft"
I think we'll snag him over the weekend, or by the middle of next week when everything is quiet, and the deals ease up.
Given what he said, I see us being a player June 1st...
It may happen after all...
Demoff: We have tendered Oshiomogho Atogwe at the Right of First Refusal level, which allows us the chance to match any offer sheet he signs between now and the week before the Draft. Should OJ not sign an offer sheet, his rights would revert back to the Rams. On June 1st, we have the option to either increase his salary to nearly $7m or to release him and let him be an unrestricted free agent. We could not have asked for OJ to handle his situation better than he did last year. I remain optimistic that we will be able to work out a long-term deal with OJ, and this is the first step in that process.

Give him an offer sheet that has a poison pill in it.
