Ok i have a friendly source who informed me that the Bears are prepared to offer Julius Peppers... a 6yr Deal Worth 104 Million Dollars with 38-42 Million Guaranteed.

In the famous words of Inspector Gadget....Wowsers!

Yes. they were in contract discussions...and they will continue talks 2mrw when Peppers arrives in CHICAGO.
Can you say the bears are really desperate?

I'm sure if the won't make it to playoff their management will be gone.

The Bears front Office and Coaching staff is on the hot seat. So they are in desperation mode, especially with not having a 1st or 2nd round draft pick! So tomorrow we will have the highest paid Defensive player in NFL History
they will probably trade Greg Olsen now

Well I guess it makes sense for the bears to go at Peppers so hard because they don't have anyway to improve through the frst two rounds. Sure some lower round might develope into something but this is their only way to add an impact player in the offseason. Now they have to hope Peppers turns out to be a better decision than Cutler.

If I'm Julius I'm going to Philly (who apparently have already put out an offer) and have a much better shot at the SB.

Agreed. However New England is in the running as well but Chicago might be offering the most money and Peppers wants his payday.

Pats don't pay big money. Bears should win this.
Surprised the Redskins aren't making any big moves yet.

If im the Pats im not forking out $100 million for Peppers, for him to change his position. Peppers has already made crazy money in his career, he should take a little less and go to Philly/New England.
# The Chicago whopper: Julius Peppers' contract in Chicago is expected to pay him roughly $40 million in the deal's first three years. 14 minutes ago via webAdam Schefter Tweet

Looks like Da Bears are serious about winning. I wish our ownership was.
