And the Bear game my gosh our D is playing lights out as is Gore and Alex still can't do ish. Along with the rest of the season's junk he gave us. And do you know how easy it is to throw to a TE vs. uh WR's, put Alex on the Chargers and you'd see VJ and Floyd's production fall and Gates' stay right and steady. At this point I not opposed to Nate Davis starting cuz at least he has some hope for being the guy for the present and the future, instead of maybe the biggest draft bust in Niner history, and even though I supported Alex for all these years, I wanted A-Rod from the outset, so don't look at me.
peyton did a poor job against us and baltimore and our secondary isnt good, perhaps mediocre, at best. against the broncos he threw 4 TDs but also 3 Ints with 220 yards overall...not the best stats, if you look at some games. but is peyton a bad QB because he had bad games, too?
you'll find some flashes of improvement and also some of a bust, if you look at alex' performances last year...but you cant judge him only by a game or two.
look at chicago, if you wanna know what can happen after a quick shot. I dont say that I was against a trade for cutler by the niners...I just want to point you that a "sure" think like getting mcnabb or another "better" qb could backfire in a bad way.

the a-rod/smith draft is 5 years ago...when do you wanna start realizing that it is an accomplished fact that rodgers doenst play for us?

Our secondary isn't bad, like the Vikes, pre-Winfield injury you have to throw against us because you can't run ie your gonna get passing yards. Goldson should of made the Pro Bowl Spencer played well as the #2 corner and Nate can still play, if his shoulder heals up. Alex is a bust, you can pretend he's not, but he is. We don't have a good QB, McNabb, Troy Smith even, Kolb, whoever it is this isn't 3 years ago we have WR's and TE's for that matter, our O-line is good enough as is to get to the Playoffs, and if we had a RT our pass blocking will get even better especially with Staley coming back. Hell Alex has 1 300 yard game for his whole career and that was against the f'ing Seahawks if you actually want to talk about bad secondaries, how many A-Rod have this year 40? Yeah I and other people will continue to bring it up because we f'ed bad and were still paying for it as we should, you don't f up a chance like that. At least when the Raiders did it the other QB was Brady Quinn.

I told it once and I will tell it for a second time: look how many of really good targets a-rod got and then look at our target-quality. with jennings, driver and finley he got THREE top-targets and with grant a RB who could take the heat of a-rod in some games, at least a little bit. gore didnt do that.
but i dont wanna start repeating myself...

just one more: rodgers started two seasons in a row and he had the same OC in back-to-back years. alex had neither. i'm sorry but you compare the incomparable for now. we should talk about a year later, when we will know a lot more.

Yeah uh A-Rod is a great player period. Alex is a bust period. He can't even hit Crabtree in stride on MNF for goodness sake and he was a rookie. He couldn't beat out Shaun Hill in TC, and trying to compare him wit a Pro Bowler, uh naw. We need a new QB cuz we don't have a good one, unless Nate Davis has something up his sleeve, which I would like to figure out by accident at best, meaning get Campbell or Kolb in here to be the guy to be the starter, so we KNOW we have a at least decent QB on our roster for the first time in 8 years.

What do you mean? What do I want to tell you. Alex can't hit a rook in stride on MNF MC had to reach back and then instead of picking up speed being hit in stride like a good QB would do, he had to run all the way across the field for the TD. What did you forget we were on MNF this season too?
no, i dont forget that we played the home game against zona at MNF but i dont get why you had to mention that "he was a rookie"

Because it shows how pathetic Smith is, he can't even hit a rookie in stride. I mean he's working with a formally known as diva underachieving TE, a rookie WR who missed half the year all of preseason OTAs and TC, and a 2nd year WR, and he's the one who is and looks like a punk.

1.since when it is so easy to work with an unexperienced rookie???
2.he is working with davis, who was nearly stamped as a bust, who stepped up and equalled the record for most TDs by a TE in a regular season, where the most of the TDs came from smith. and it was nearly a 1k yarder.
3.smith worked damn good with crabtree, which you can see in the stats. I think that more than 600 yards in receiving is really good for a rookie, who missed the whole season, and his QB.
4.you got a 2nd-year late-round WR, who caught for more than 500 yards.

i dont see anything ridicilous about alex.

Good QB's work with rookie WR's all the f'ing time Austin Collie with Peyton, Fraction Jackson with McNabb. Davis had a coming out party because he stopped being a jerkish moron, and especially cuz Sing fixed him. An idiot can work well with the best WR in the Draft. And the 2nd year WR is good he should get 500 yards let alone 750 or more. Smith is a joke, like a Delhomme to a lesser extent, but at the same time to a further extent cuz Alex was a Draft pick at all let alone the first one in his Draft class. For goodness sake he couldn't beat out Shaun Hill. I'd pay to see Alex try to beat out A-Rod in a TC let alone Jason Campbell or Kevin Kolb, give me a break. We currently have a joke QB as our starter, a noodle armed QB as our back-up and a 2nd year QB who doesn't have a snap as a starter, but who knows might be the best QB on the team. If we don't get an at least decent QB on the roster that we obviously don't have were going to pay for it, AGAIN.

1.manning isnt a good qb, he is one of the best all-time...and plz dont forget that the colts have so many well-known threats that the opponents tend to forget about the unknown ones. manning+good WR=rookies get their room to catch some balls.
desean wasnt that better in his rookie year than crabtree...the latter one played only 11 games and got a about 13 yards per catch with over 600 yards overall, first one played whole season, made 14,7 yards and over 900 yards. either of them caught 2 TDs. do you wanna argue about the 1.7 avg-yards difference???
mcnabb is a decade-veteran in 08, while smith is in his 4th year, who played 11 games in 09 after being out of football for about 2 years.

he got his breakout and his good performance when smith began to start at QB. with hill as starter, davis wasnt that effective.

yeah, right every decent 2ndyear-WR should get his 500 yards, even with a russell as QB...
plz name me one or two WRs, who were much better in their rookie years than crabtree.

sorry, ever since smith took over for hill during the texans' game, i dont care about TC anymore. thanks to that game, you could compare the both guys perfectly-->hill produced nothing, smith killed the texans' secondary.

you are right about hill and you seems to be just another smith-hater if i look at the first sentence. thats not a hate thread...do u understand that?
You can probably see in about two years if you have something to work with, I say we trade alex to the rams for a 2nd this year and 3rd and 1st in next years draft! trade for Mcnabb and draft playmakers on defense and offense and let's win a couple of superbowls!

yes but he can also hit the WRs other 60% times

omg vernin dropped a game winner when alex hit him in stride
omg when alex through a ROOKIE crabtree in stride he decided to duck instead of catch it
omg vernon dropped a perfectly passed ball another 9 times i think
omg we lead the league in most drops for a team

can u plz stop pissing and moaning its getting really annoying for a guy who came of 2 year injury and had a million different OCs and had no practice with anyone i think 18tds in 10 games is pretty good thats around 28 tds for 1 season span without practice or playing for 2 years thats pretty goodjust give him 1 season with the same OC for 1ce in his year and a decent line like every GOOd QB has and i think he will do fine

Oh would you stop with the BS about different OC's Jason Campbell had the same problem and he played well this year even with the awful line and 1WR to throw to and Raye's offense is soooooooooo f'ing simple in NFL terms jeez Hill figured it out it's just he stopped playing NFL football and flamed outso the mind was there the body wasn't. Alex Smith is a joke 60% wow congrats, f'ing Todd Collins can do that. And Gore had 2 major knee surgeries yet he's a two time Pro Bowler, Alex is an f'ing joke. 18 TD in 10 games that's not even 2 per and it was a passing offense for the most part because Alex is so simple minded in football terms the only offense hhe can run is the spread, and he can't even run that, that well. Your ok with bad to average QB's I'm not, at this point I'll settle for decent, Campbell, maybe Troy Smith, Kyle Orton if he leaves Denver, or maybe Kolb is something better than decent go get him shoot. Hell Alex couldn't even beat out Shaun Hill in TC who has a noodle f'ing arm are you freaking serious? Get real.
