it doesn't matter about how clutch TG is, or who you would want on 3rd and 7.

In the end you are less likely to be in a clutch or a third and long situation with VD on your team! The stats speak for themselves

VD may have drops, but he is a physical freak who can get open enough to compensate for those drops

So TG who is a HOF TE will plenty left in the tank wont make it easier for 3rd and long situations? Really??? Stats huh they do tell the whole story VD deserved the pro-bowl no doubt but in that senario that was posted I want TG not VD

game on the line, 3rd and 7, i want Peyton Manning at QB and i dont give a crap whos at TE.

Gonzalez is old, but does the fundamental things alot better than VD. however VD is young, and has developed the physical ability to catch balls in double/triple coverage and find the endzone.

VD deserved the pro bowl this year, because frankly, he had a better season than Gonzo from a pure yds/TD's standpoint.

although you cant fail to notice VD's league lead in penalties and drops, along with poor blocking. but pro bowl berth dont account for those things.

and why does everyone keep spelling his name "Gonzales"? hes been a pro bowl TE in the NFL for over a decade...its not hard to spell his name correctly.

Tony G does it all... one of the greatest of all time. He's just older now, but still amazingly productive.

can anyone name a Pro Bowl TE that was there for their blocking? Passing yards and TD catches are the flashy stats that get you All Star status. Davis is a very good blocker but no one takes that under consideration when choosing for the Pro Bowl.
