Sign Winston Justice and a couple under the radar guards to competet with Rachal and Snyder and draft A stud guard in the draft next year.

A lot of young linemen.
Although i do see a lot of them being re-signed, i hope a few do hit FA and Scotty can bring them in.

My sleeper player is Artis Hicks.
He's played some RG and RT this season, and he's done a pretty damn good job. He's like Adam Snyder, except more consistent and powerful.
He's also been developed lately by the infamous Pat Morris, former OL coach of the 49ers and current OL coach of the Vikings.
He'd be a great addition to start at RT, and let Rachal and Snyder compete for the RG spot in 2010.
At the same time, we need more depth and I would draft a RT in the mid-rounds as well.

Getting someone like Mankins or Evans would be a phenomenal pickup for the Niners. This has got to be the priority going into next offseason.
LG Logan Mankins, G/C Tony Moll, RG Jahari Evans, RT Jeremy Trueblood. That's what I want and I don't ever get what I want because I am unrealistic! but best case scenario lets's blow up our Oline up with the exception of Staley,Snyder and a potential good player Rachal.

How bout we grab both??? Now that would provide some running room for Gore!!! Seriously though, if both these guys hit the market, I would absolutely consider making a move like that.
Maybe cut clements to free up some money???
I just pray the Panthers lose the rest of their games so we can not only sign an impact OL but draft one early also. We only need to plug a few holes 2 or 3 OL are needed, elite passrusher, and a safety. with 2 first round picks it can all be accomplished this offseason. especially if we cut/trade or renegotiate Clements contract.

Just so we're clear if we go to a uncapped season teams will have 3 franchise tags (1 reg, 2 trans), and players will not be able to hit the free agent market to after their 6th season.
So if March 1st comes along and there's no deal look for a very crappy free agent pool, and people overpaying what little talent there is. Thank you McCoughlan for those 2 1st rounders.

I want Marcus McNeill and Logan Mankis. Alex Barron or Jared Gaither would be acceptable substitutions.
I was screaming for us to grab Gaither in the supplemental draft, but apparently the 49ers didn't agree with me that a FRANCHISE TACKLE was worth a 4th round pick.
