Right. Right. He has mobility, which is really useful when you are trying to extend plays behind a patchwork line. He is accurate, enough armstrength to better utilize the weapons we have, not careless with the ball, has the experience to manage games, leadership, fire, passion, and most importantly, is likely better than what we have now. A short term answer while we groom the next franchise QB (whoever that is).

if the niners draft a qb in next yrs draft should they sign Jeff Garcia so the rookie QB can sit and learn behind Garcia. IMO Gracia still has a couple good years left in him.

I dont know why we got rid of Garcia in the first place. He made 3 pro bowls in a row for us. Dumb move on out part. I still say we give A Smith a chance but I wouldn't mind having Garcia as a backup.

How many years does Garcia really have left in him. I mean if this was three years ago sure but hes probably not starting somewhere else in the NFL right now for a reason.

On the original subject, no, I think not. By next year I think Garcia's day will be well and truly done. I suspect we will keep Hill as a safe pair of hands behind Smith whilst we find out if Davis has what it takes or not.

why hasn't he been signed? Seriously... I would even go to the CFL is I was Garcia right now, I doubt he will be getting any NFL playing time now
