Falcons signed C Jeremy Newberry.
Entering his 12th year, the 33-year-old played behind Nick Hardwick in San Diego last season. He'll provide veteran insurance for Atlanta at what's likely to be the veteran minimum.

Too bad Newberry's knees aren't what it use to be, although I'm a fan of Heitmann, Newberry was better (when healthy).

good luck J. Newb down in Hotlanta
I spoke to him a short while ago, he frequents the Niner bar here in San Diego. He's excited about the opportunity. Some of his buddies that are down here that he went to Antioch HS with are a bit bummed, but they look forward to watching him play in ATL. His beach house is already up for sale
I always like newberry. I wish that he remained healthy and was still on the team. I still wish him the best in his career
wish him the best.
lol he still playing ? isn't he like 50 years old lol
He was a good center for the 49ers

33 is still a viable age for the center position. On his knees, not so much, but I'm glad to see he's still kicking around.
One Tough Dude
My guy finally found a home!! GOOD LUCK JNEW!!

The guy is the definition of a true warrior. To be in his 12th season on those knees is a testament to his grit (or maybe lack of intelligence?). I wish him all the best. He sure gave us his all when he was here!
