Serious question about concussions

Why is the NFL the only sport to make such a large deal about concussions? In boxing, MMA and ultimate fighting the entire goal of the sport is to give your opponent a concussion, but that is never brought up. I understand the league's desire to prevent injuries, especially in star players, but why don't the other sports ever get any mention?

Because you can take steps to mitigate concussions in the NFL, with Boxing and MMA that's the very nature of the sport. Football has got way to soft, they should have got rid of helmet to helmet and blade side blocks and left it there. Also these knee dives from players like Kerby Joseph need to be banned

But other sports do treat it seriously as well. Even WWE has concussion policies lol.
Difference is for boxing/UFC is that fighters only fight a handful of times per year. NFL it's every week.

In fairness the NFL makes a big deal out of it because the media makes a big deal out of it.
If a big deal was not made about it then the NFL would care less.
It's a public-relations deal as opposed to any authentic concern for their employees.
