This is an improvement. Recent games have been beyond a joke.

And will continue to be a joke. They just need to turn in back into a skills challenge competition.

I prefer NFC vs AFC. It being in Orlando vs. Hawaii makes it a much more feasible thing to travel out to see. The average folks just don't have the cash to fly out to Hawaii for something like that. I like that they're incorporating a 5k run and all that. Should make the festivities more fun.

They need to accept 2 bids for the Super Bowl one each in a city that is NFC and AFC and then award it to the conference who wins the PB. Give the PB some meaning and players will play and the game will be entertaining. Leave it with none and it will continue to be garbage.

That's a horrible idea. Who cares if the pro bowl is competitive? It's an allstar game. Nobody watches it, and trying to whip up some scheme to make it important won't make more people tune in. It's a game for players to get recognition. That's it. Making it into what mlb does is not necessary. If you make the game count, people will get hurt. This isn't baseball where there is zero contact allowed and guys can still half ass it and win a game.

Yes.
I remember I watched Brees just dropping dimes into buckets or through tires or whatever the hell it was that year (2006 IIRC). I got into a huge debate about QBs with my Supervisor. Told him Brees was going to be a HOF QB, he LOL'd and said it was all dumpoffs to LT, checkdowns, etc...
Then Brees went on to have those seasons with the Saints.

If the NFL wants players to actually show up beyond that initial go for the novelty of it, they need to pay players in excess of what they'd make in a regular game. Why would the risk their careers for peanuts?
Pay each player at the highest contract per their position in the NFL. So if the highest paid QB in the NFL averages $150,000 per game then that's what all the QBs that show up for the pro-bowl get paid. Then add a bonus for winning of like $25k.
Right now they're getting something like 65k for winning and 25k for losing? For many pro-bowl players it's a joke. They get named and find an excuse not to go.

This whole concept is a joke. Playing half assed is going to get a good player hurt one day. Even a skills test will be a problem due to injury and ego.
Just give them the accolade and then play each other in Madden.
Better still wrap them up like marshmallow man from the old ghost busters and let the roll, around on the field like a demolition derby At least that will be entertaining.
Unless the whole idea is taken seriously then just forget it. The NFL look stupid on this one.

I say all ROOKIE TEAM (based on performance/stats) vs ALL PRO (based fan votes)
WINNER GETS: 500K per player.. (250 from NFL; 250 from loosing team/players)
WATCH EVERYONE PLAYS HARDER NOW...

Even the Gronk thinks something needs to change.
It did, it's in Florida now.

Well if nobody is watching it, then why not just recognize the player and leave the game out of it? I mean any time these guys are doing anything on the field, half ass or otherwise, there is a risk and if there's no meaning then why risk?
