Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cincinnati Bengals (+13) - Steelers in a rout Steelers 27 - Bengals 9

San Francisco 49ers vs. Dallas Cowboys (+2.5)

Why SF Wins: Dallas is really bad. The 49ers have a more talented roster, and the talent flat out wins out. Robert Saleh's defense shuts down a bad Cowboys offense and the 49ers limit turnovers. This is how the 49ers can win this one.

Why SF Loses: Nick Mullens is still starting for the 49ers. The WRs of Dallas can be tough matchups and the 49ers are coming off of a game that felt like the final straw to a lost season. Dallas takes advantage of a sloppy 49ers team and comes away with the W.

Prediction: The 49ers continue to play with no real sense of urgency and the gameplan stays the same as it has been all year long. A stagnant 49ers team goes through the motions and comes away with another loss in a game they should have won. Cowboys 31 - 49ers 22

Cynthia Frelund sees Justin Fields as the best draft fit for the 49ers

By David Bonilla
Apr 15, 2021

NFL Network analytics expert Cynthia Frelund recently used her context-based data models to determine the best team fits for the top draft-eligible quarterbacks. What are the ideal landing spots for the incoming group of rookie passers? "The goal for each pairing: maximizing the draftee's 2021 win share," wrote Frelund, "factoring in what we know about each team's personnel, coaches and strategy right now. And of course, I'm aiming to present realistic matches, ones that could actually come to fruition on draft day." Trevor Lawrence to the Jacksonville Jaguars and Zach Wilson to the New York Jets seem like the most likely

'I think they like all three': Schefter says 49ers keeping an open mind on QB draft prospects

By David Bonilla
Apr 11, 2021

Right now, if he were forced to make a guess, Adam Schefter is in the camp of those who would tell you that the San Francisco 49ers are drafting quarterback Mac Jones of Alabama with the No. 3 overall pick. However, there are still 18 days until the start of the 2021 NFL Draft, things are fluid, and things might change. Head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch attended Jones' second pro day on March 30, picking that event over former Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields' workout, which took place on the same day. That, of course, led to massive speculation that San Francisco prefers the Alabama quarterback to the former Buckeye or even Trey Lance of North Dakota State. Shanahan and Lynch are expected to be in attendance for the second pro days of

Rapoport confirms 49ers' Shanahan and Lynch will attend 2nd pro days of Justin Fields and Trey Lance

Peter King of NBC Sports was the first to report that San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch would be in attendance for the second pro days of both Justin Fields of Ohio State and Trey Lance of North Dakota State. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media confirmed that report this morning. #OSU QB Justin Fields has his second Pro Day on Wednesday and

Pelissero: Justin Fields and Trey Lance pro days to feature drills and throws from 49ers practices

Justin Fields of Ohio State will hold a second pro day workout on Wednesday. Five days later, Trey Lance of North Dakota State will take part in his second. Both are trying to ensure that they are selected ahead of Mac Jones of Alabama. Trevor Lawrence of Clemson is expected to be drafted No. 1 overall. The New York Jets are expected to select Zach Wilson of BYU at No. 2. Assuming San Francisco targets a quarterback, that leaves Jones, Fields, and Lance as San Francisco's choices at No. 3. Jones is the overwhelming favorite to be the pick if you ask members of the national media. Fans would much prefer the more athletic and higher ceilinged prospects in Fields or Lance. Head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch chose to attend Jones'
