It was reported that Vic Fangio was headed to the Miami Dolphins. Of course, the coach denied that any deal had been finalized, with many speculating that he might be interested in the San Francisco 49ers' defensive coordinator job. That job opened on Tuesday with the Houston Texans hiring DeMeco Ryans to a six-year deal to be their next head coach. San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans' schedule just opened up. His team got ousted from the playoffs with a 31-7 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship Game. Ryans is free to interview with teams looking for head coaches and has a second interview lined up with the Houston Texans. Ryans is considered a frontrunner for the job.
