NaVorro Bowman passes concussion protocol, returns against Bears

San Francisco 49ers LB NaVorro Bowman returned to the game in the second half against the Bears in Chicago. He left the field after teammate DE Quinton Dial crashed into him in the second quarter.

Bowman, who was questionable to return, was checked for a concussion by the medical staff and cleared the concussion protocol.

Earlier in the game, TE Vance McDonald went into the locker room. He was also being checked for a possible concussion. McDonald has been ruled out against the Bears.
