Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area is hearing that things are looking very, very good for RB Jarryd Hayne making the San Francisco 49ers' 53-man roster.

And why not? He has looked very good during preseason. Here is another look at the former rugby league superstar making a vicious hit on a San Diego Chargers defender and another of him making a solid tackle on special teams. Hayne seems to be able to do it all.

Brock Purdy started warming up on the sideline after San Francisco 49ers starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo took a hit to his surgically repaired left knee and was slow to get up. Garoppolo appeared to be in pain. The quarterback was asked if he ever thought he might need to exit the game. "Nah, I was staying in the game," Garoppolo told reporters after the 49ers' 13-0 win over the New Orleans Saints. "I knew what type of game it was. That's what it was all day. That wasn't the only hit that was questionable like that. Throughout the whole game, it was like that, but that's football. "It was a gritty game. I'm proud of the guys today, how they fought through the adversity that was thrown at us. There was all kinds of adversity, and we just kept going. I think
