WR Chaz Schilens update -- still in SF

According to Jason LaCanfora, Oakland Raiders free-agent wide receiver Chaz Schilens remains in San Francisco visiting the 49ers. Schilens scheduled to meet with the New York Jets on Thursday.

St. Louis Rams free-agent wide receiver Brandon Lloyd is also coming in. Mario Manningham is scheduled to visit with the 49ers tomorrow.

Schillens, who is 26, has spent four seasons with the Raiders and had 72 receptions for 902 yards and 7 touchdowns during that time.

49ers GM John Lynch provides an update on Dee Ford

The San Francisco 49ers picked up about $11 million in salary-cap space by restructuring the contract of defensive end Dee Ford. It became evident that the veteran defender wasn't going to be medically cleared by this week's deadline, at which point much of his salary becomes guaranteed. Ford was limited to just one game last season as he dealt with neck and back injuries. General manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan spoke virtually with reporters on Monday for nearly 40 minutes. PFF prefers Justin Fields but still predicts Mac Jones to 49ers in mock draft

Add yet another mock draft to the pile of those that have the San Francisco 49ers selecting former Alabama quarterback Mac Jones with the No. 3 overall pick over Justin Fields of Ohio State and Trey Lance of North Dakota State.
