Elic Ayomanor was among the 46 players in attendance Wednesday at the San Francisco 49ers' local pro day. While the Stanford wide receiver didn't participate in on-field drills, he observed the one-day session and was seen chatting on the sidelines with general manager John Lynch.

Wide receiver is a clear need for the 49ers heading into the 2025 NFL Draft, with Deebo Samuel gone and Brandon Aiyuk recovering from an injury, and Ayomanor is one of the more intriguing local prospects. At the NFL Scouting Combine, he measured 6-foot-2 and 206 pounds, posting a 4.44-second 40-yard dash, a 38.5-inch vertical jump, and a 10-foot-7 broad jump.
Although Ayomanor hasn't yet had an in-depth conversation with head coach Kyle Shanahan, he can already picture himself fitting into the offense.
"I know one thing—that they ask their receivers to block a lot, and that's something that I'm very willing to do and very eager to do," Ayomanor told reporters after the workout. "And I think they run a lot of great things off of that to help the team in the passing game, and so, I think I would fit well here."
Ayomanor added that he's trying to show NFL teams how much he has developed throughout his college career. Over two seasons at Stanford, he recorded 1,844 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns, including six scores in 2024 on his way to earning second-team All-ACC honors.
"I just want to show them that I have the ability to learn and grow, and become a better player consistently over time," Ayomanor said.
As for why he didn't work out during the local pro day, Ayomanor explained that he had just wrapped up a top-30 visit with another team and wasn't asked by the 49ers to participate in drills. Still, he wanted to be there in support of his Stanford teammates—defensive lineman Tobin Phillips, offensive lineman Levi Rogers, and linebackers Gaethan Bernadel and Tristan Sinclair.
"They, honestly, didn't really ask me to work out," Ayomanor said. "They just kind of asked me to show up. I did a lot at the Combine, did a lot at my pro day, and they were there at the pro day, too, so I think they've seen all that they needed to see."
