NFL insider Ian Rapoport reports that the Green Bay Packers are set to sign free-agent guard Aaron Banks from the San Francisco 49ers, bringing his time in the Bay Area to an end.
Rapoport adds that it's a four-year deal worth up to $77 million.
Aaron Banks (6-5, 325) was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the second round (No. 48 overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft out of Notre Dame. Known for his size and power, Banks has been a key part of the 49ers' offensive line since earning a starting role in 2022.
Banks allowed one sack and 25 pressures over 471 pass-blocking snaps in 2024. In 2023, he allowed a career-high 36 pressures but notably did not surrender a sack.
Banks, [age: 1997-09-03], suffered an MCL injury that caused him to miss the final two games of the 2024 season. However, he has been a consistent presence on the offensive line, starting 43 games over the past three seasons.
