The San Francisco 49ers have claimed cornerback Tre Tomlinson off waivers from the Los Angeles Rams, the team announced.
The 49ers Communications staff provided the following rundown.
Tomlinson (5-9, 177) was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the sixth round (182nd overall) of the 2023 NFL Draft. Throughout his two-year career, Tomlinson has appeared in 15 games and registered five tackles in addition to eight special teams tackles. He also appeared in one postseason contest with the Rams.
A 25-year-old native of Waco, TX, Tomlinson attended Texas Christian University (2019-22) where he appeared in 49 games and registered 125 tackles, 41 passes defensed, five interceptions, four tackles for loss and three forced fumbles.
