The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 13 contest against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York.
Quarterback Brock Purdy was spotted throwing a couple of short passes during the portion of Wednesday's practice open to the media. However, Purdy remained highly limited, observing the rest of the session as the other quarterbacks took reps.
The 49ers signal-caller is working his way back from the shoulder injury that sidelined him during Sunday's loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Linebacker Dre Greenlaw returned to the field as the team opened his 21-day practice window. Greenlaw, returning from a torn Achilles suffered in February, was a limited participant in practice.

Offensive lineman Dominick Puni and defensive tackle Kevin Givens were also limited due to injuries.
Several key players, including defensive end Nick Bosa, left tackle Trent Williams, and running back Christian McCaffrey, missed Wednesday's session entirely. McCaffrey was given a planned rest day as part of his ongoing management after returning from Achilles tendinitis.
Bosa commented on his recovery: "I made a good amount of progress, for sure. It's feeling a lot better. I still need to get better before I'm ready to go, so this week will be big, and I'll know a lot more in the next couple of days."
Cornerback Deommodore Lenoir, who injured his knee in a collision during Sunday's game, also did not practice. However, the team remains optimistic that he will be available for this weekend's matchup against the Bills.
"He can't go today," head coach Kyle Shanahan said. "But no, we're not ruling him out for this week. Hopefully, he'll be able to go tomorrow."
Additionally, offensive lineman Aaron Banks and defensive tackle Jordan Elliott remain in the NFL's concussion protocol and did not participate in practice.
