Falcons signing former 49ers WR/RS Ray-Ray McCloud to a 2-year deal

NFL Media's Tom Pelissero reports that the Atlanta Falcons are signing wide receiver and return specialist Ray-Ray McCloud to a two-year deal worth up to $6 million. McCloud is an unrestricted free agent.


The Buffalo Bills selected McCloud (5-9, 190) out of Clemson in the sixth round (No. 187 overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft. He registered 12 receptions for 135 yards and 30 rushing yards on three carries in 12 game appearances (one start) with the 49ers this past season, per Pro Football Reference.

McCloud returned 24 punts during the 2023 season, averaging 8.5 yards per return. Additionally, he returned 10 kickoffs, averaging 22.5 yards per return.

McCloud, 27, has caught 90 passes for 768 yards and a touchdown while adding 192 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown on 15 carries in 77 game appearances (11 starts) through his six NFL seasons with the Bills, Carolina Panthers, Pittsburgh Steelers, and 49ers.
