The Indianapolis Colts are signing former San Francisco 49ers defensive end Samson Ebukam to a three-year deal worth up to $27 million, per ESPN's Adam Schefter and Jeremy Fowler. Ebukam is an unrestricted free agent.
The Los Angeles Rams made Ebukam (6-3, 245) a fourth-round selection (No. 125 overall) out of Eastern Washington in 2017. He registered a career-high five sacks to go along with his 36 tackles, seven tackles for a loss, 13 quarterback hits, a pass defensed, and a forced fumble through 15 starts with the 49ers last season, per
Pro Football Reference.
Ebukam, 27, has recorded 203 tackles, 23.5 sacks, eight passes defensed, an interception, a touchdown, and eight forced fumbles in 96 game appearances (61 starts) through his six NFL seasons with the Rams and 49ers.

At the start of free agency, the San Francisco 49ers signed defensive end Leonard Floyd to a two-year deal worth $20 million, with $12 million guaranteed. It has been the team's most significant offseason move thus far.
OverTheCap.com recently revealed Floyd's contract details. While the deal may be for two years, three void years are attached to the contract, allowing the defensive end's $10.79 million signing bonus to be spread through 2028.
Floyd's impact in 2024 is minimal. He is scheduled to earn a guaranteed $1.21 million base salary and count only $3.418 million against this year's salary cap.
