The San Francisco 49ers are among the teams "in the mix" for free agent wide receiver Dede Westbrook, per Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press. According to Tomasson, the receiver says he is visiting the Minnesota Vikings this weekend, but the 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, and Cincinnati Bengals have expressed interest.

There was a report in May that San Francisco had "preliminary communication" with Westbrook but nothing more came of it.
Westbrook, 27, appeared in two games with the Jacksonville Jaguars last season after dropping down the team's depth chart. He recorded one reception for four yards in those two games before suffering a torn ACL during Week 7.
The Jacksonville Jaguars made Westbrook a fourth-round selection out of Oklahoma in 2017. He caught 159 passes for 1,716 yards and nine touchdowns over his first three NFL seasons. Westbrook also had 14 combined carries for 125 rushing yards in 2018 and 2019.
San Francisco worked out defensive linemen Justus Reed and Eddie Vanderdoes, per Aaron Wilson.

Reed played for Virginia Tech in 2020, recording 28 tackles, nine tackles for a loss, and 6.5 sacks through 10 games as a senior. Eddie Vanderdoes has been with the Houston Texans since 2019 but opted out of last season. The Texans released him with a non-football injury designation on February 24. Vanderdoes spent the previous three seasons with the then-Oakland Raiders.
The Raiders made Vanderdoes a third-round draft pick out of UCLA in 2017.
