The San Francisco 49ers have had what Josina Anderson describes as "preliminary communication" with wide receiver Dede Westbrook. Anderson had previously stated that other teams, like the Cincinnati Bengals, Minnesota Vikings, and Kansas City Chiefs, expressed interest in the wideout.
Dede Westbrook (ACL) is expecting 2b fully cleared to participate in football activities by the 8-month mark, per source. He incurred the injury Oct. 25th last season, had surgery in Nov. There's been preliminary communication b/w Westbrook & the #49ers not too long ago as well.

Westbrook, 27, appeared in just two games with the Jacksonville Jaguars last season after slipping down the team's depth chart. He hauled in one pass for four yards through two games before suffering a torn ACL during Week 7.
The Jacksonville Jaguars made Westbrook a fourth-round selection out of Oklahoma in 2017. He caught 159 passes for 1,716 yards and nine touchdowns over his first three NFL seasons. Westbrook also had 14 combined carries for 125 rushing yards in 2018 and 2019.
San Francisco recently signed wide receiver Bennie Fowler to replace Marqise Lee, who was waived with an injury designation just days after being signed himself. And, of course, there is rampant speculation surrounding wide receiver Julio Jones, whose days with the Atlanta Falcons appear to be numbered.
