#49ers FB Kyle Juszczyk is announced as one of the eight finalists for the 2020 Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award.
Juszczyk has the opportunity to become the first 49ers player to ever win the award. Running back Adrian Peterson, then with Washington, was last year's recipient.
The award, created after the 2014 season, is presented annually to an NFL player who best demonstrates the qualities of on-field sportsmanship, including fair play, respect for the game and opponents, and integrity in competition. The winner will be announced at the NFL Honors presentation before the Super Bowl, and he will receive a $25,000 donation from the NFL Foundation to a charity of his choice.
The other seven finalists are Baltimore Ravens defensive end Calais Campbell, Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Cameron Heyward, Indianapolis Colts defensive end Justin Houston, New England Patriots receiver Matthew Slater, Carolina Panthers quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Lavonte David, and Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce.
