The San Francisco 49ers are signing former Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaron Brown, according to a report from Adam Schefter of ESPN. Brown visited with the team on Tuesday.
49ers are signing former Seahawks' WR Jaron Brown, per source. Brown joins JJ Nelson and Tavon Austin as the third WR to sign with SF since camp opened. SF lost WR Jalen Hurd earlier this week to a season-ending torn ACL.

As Schefter notes, the 49ers recently lost wide receiver Jalen Hurd for the season to a torn ACL. This will be his second missed season since San Francisco made him a third-round draft pick last year.
Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reported on Monday that San Francisco intended to work out Brown. He needed to pass three COVID-19 tests to do so.

Brown, 30, has spent the past two seasons in Seattle. His best season came in 2017 with the Cardinals when he hauled in 31 passes for 477 yards with four touchdowns.
The Cardinals signed Brown as an undrafted free agent out of Clemson in 2013. He registered 16 receptions for 220 yards with two touchdowns through 14 games with the Seahawks in 2019. Brown has caught 116 passes for 1,563 yards with 16 touchdowns through his seven NFL seasons.
Brown joins a receiver group that recently added veterans Tavon Austin and J.J. Nelson via one-year deals.
The 49ers' expected No. 1 wideout, Deebo Samuel, is recovering from a foot injury and may not be ready to play by Week 1. San Francisco's first-round draft pick, Brandon Aiyuk, has been impressing during training camp.
