No Preseason?

After players collectively tweeted #WeWantToPlay in response to the NFL's safety plans — or lack thereof — surrounding preparation for the 2020 season, the NFL has offered the players union zero preseason games.

This is a big step for both the NFL and NFLPA.

Just in Time for Training Camp

Matt Barrows of The Athletic reported that the 49ers revised their training camp schedule. Rookies were initially scheduled to report on July 21. The team has pushed back the report date to Thursday.

Deebo Samuel Doesn't Like the Injury Timeline

In an NBC Sports article by Peter King, the writer rehashed the idea of Deebo Samuel not being ready to return to action until October.

Samuel caught wind of the report and voiced his thoughts on Instagram.

Raheem Mostert to 'Clear the Air' with the Front Office?

Rapoport: Raheem Mostert reaches out to 49ers to 'clear the air'

Raheem Mostert and his agent, Brett Tessler, announced on July 8 that they had requested a trade from the San Francisco 49ers. The two are unhappy with the running back's current three-year contract, which is barely entering its second year. There is no doubt that Mostert is underpaid. He isn't even the highest-paid running back on the roster. That would be Tevin Coleman, despite Mostert being expected to bear most of the workload this season. Mostert is scheduled to earn a base salary of just $2.575 million in 2020 and won't become a free agent until 2022. RELATED:

Peter King of NBC Sports grabbed a few headlines this morning by quickly stating the Deebo Samuel could be out until October while saying the San Francisco 49ers can be patient with the receiver's recovery thanks to the team's schedule.
