Iowa basketball mounted a comeback on Saturday to beat Ohio State and San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle was in attendance, much to the enthusiasm of the home crowd. He brought along a couple of other former Hawkeye teammates turned current 49ers teammates, quarterback C.J. Beathard and cornerback Greg Mabin.
Kittle was presented with a football, thrown to him on the basketball court by Beathard, which commemorated his 2018 season, which saw the tight end named to the Pro Bowl, named second-team All-Pro, and set a new single-season NFL record for receiving yards by a tight end. All three achievements were printed on the football with both the Hawkeyes and 49ers logo on it.
