Ouch: #49ers S Antone Exum was fined $53,482 for his hit on #Broncos WR DaeSean Hamilton Sunday. Per the league's fine schedule, that's the amount for a second unnecessary roughness foul in a season. ... Solomon Thomas was not fined despite roughing-the-passer call in the game.
The unnecessary roughness penalty of 15 yards resulted in the Broncos' longest play (33 yards) of the game, according to NFL statistics. The drive eventually led to a Denver touchdown pass from quarterback Case Keenum to Hamilton, which brought the Broncos to within six late in the game.
Exum finished the game with three tackles.
