49ers' Nick Bosa gets support from elite rival DE before NFC Championship Game
By Rohan Chakravarthi

The San Francisco 49ers are facing off against the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship Game, with the victor punching a ticket to Glendale, Arizona, where they'll play the winner of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cincinnati Bengals in the Super Bowl.
To reach that goal, the 49ers are going to need a strong performance from their best unit, the defensive line, which is led by potential Defensive Player of the Year: edge rusher Nick Bosa.
Bosa has only further cemented his status as one of the best, if not the best, pass-rushers in the NFL with an 18.5-sack season, while continuing his efforts as a very underrated run-defender.
Ahead of the NFC Championship Game, Bosa received support from rival defensive end Maxx Crosby, who entered

The San Francisco 49ers simply declared that quarterback Brock Purdy suffered an elbow injury during Sunday's NFC Championship Game loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Following the game, the rookie was still in significant pain. He will undergo an MRI on Monday.
"My arm just felt like it stretched out," Purdy explained when asked about the injury. "I just felt like, really, a lot of just shocks all over, from my elbow down to my wrist, front and back. Just pain, really, all over. … It is a little swollen in the forearm area near the elbow. That's

The 49ers have a number of players slated for free agency and will have to make some tough decisions on who will stay and who will go. Two of those players -- offensive tackle Mike McGlinchey and defensive back Jimmie Ward -- spoke about their futures on Sunday while also reflecting on their time with the 49ers.
We'll talk about what McGlinchey and Ward said Sunday, as well as a number of other topics in this version of 49ers Notebook. We'll also dive into what happened to Nick Bosa

Orlovsky defends not having 49ers legend Joe Montana among his top-5 all-time QBs

I want to preface this by stating that I enjoy Dan Orlovsky's breakdowns and often find him insightful. However, the ESPN analyst presented a hot take this week that is sure to attract its share of scrutiny. It even did so among Orlovsky's ESPN colleagues.
It's difficult to forget that time David Carr tried, much to the astonishment of his NFL Network colleagues, to explain why Joe Montana wasn't a top-10 quarterback of the Super Bowl era. The analyst was, unsurprisingly, bombarded with criticism for making such a highly-debatable statement.
Orlovsky finds himself in a similar situation, throwing out his own version of the take when it comes to his top five
