Chargers at 49ers Thursday, August 31 (time TBD)
The 49ers open up on the road against the Kansas City Chiefs. They will then host the Denver Broncos at Levi's Stadium, giving the two teams yet another chance to hold a joint practice prior to the exhibition game. This will be the sixth consecutive time that the 49ers face the Broncos in the preseason. Their third preseason game, a matchup against the Minnesota Vikings, will be nationally televised on NBC. The 49ers will conclude their preseason by hosting the Los Angeles Chargers. The 49ers and Chargers game is a regular preseason event, with this matchup being the 31st consecutive year that the two teams will meet.
