49ers fans come together after the passing of a forum member and friend

Jun 17, 2016 at 8:48 PM--

We are deeply saddened to announce that on Wednesday, June 17, longtime 49erswebzone.com community member and former moderator Josh Byrone passed away. Known as ChipDouglas510 within our forums, Josh was a part of our staff for a year from August of 2014 until August of 2015. He will be deeply missed.

Josh leaves behind his wife Nguyet, their son Clark, and unborn twins. As a site, our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. We will always remember Josh fondly as he selflessly contributed to this site throughout the years.

"It has been a fun run and I appreciate the opportunity and working with you guys," said Josh while stepping down as a moderator last year. With the little time he was able to be on this site, he simply wanted to enjoy being a member.

Our community is sharing their condolences within this forum thread.

A GoFundMe page has been set with the goal of raising money to support his family. While not created or officially endorsed by this site or any of our partners, the page has already raised over $20,000 in just one day. It is a testament to the number of lives Josh has touched over the years.

Josh joined our community in March of 2012 and last posted on this site just four days ago.

By David Bonilla

Analyst Steve Palazzolo unveiled a first-round mock draft for Pro Football Focus, attempting to forecast the selections for each NFL team within the top 32 picks. While the San Francisco 49ers concentrated on strengthening the defensive line in free agency, Palazzolo envisions the team continuing to fortify that side of the ball. Deebo Samuel and Brock Purdy are why the 49ers can afford to pay Brandon Aiyuk

By David Bonilla
Apr 10

It's evident that the San Francisco 49ers engaged in long-term financial planning. Much discussion has centered around the feasibility of the team committing significant financial resources to two wide receivers, Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel. Adding complexity to this debate is the impending contract extension for quarterback Brock Purdy, positioning him to become the highest-paid player on the team. He will likely even become one of the NFL's highest-paid players. Where he ranks in average salary will depend upon whether he can replicate the stellar performance of his Pro Bowl 2023
