According to a source that spoke to The Mercury News' Jon Wilner, Stanford head coach David Shaw will not be interviewing with the San Francisco 49ers.

Earlier today, Bleacher Report's Jason Cole suggested that, after the 49ers interview Bengals offensive coordinator Hue Jackson, the team would also target Shaw.

Shaw, who has no plans to interview with the 49ers and negotiated his own contract extension with Stanford back in 2012, has repeatedly said that he intends to coach for the Cardinal for many years. Stanford is Shaw's alma mater.

Shaw worked under former 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh during his stint at Stanford. He was the team's offensive coordinator starting in 2007 and became the head coach when Harbaugh left in 2011.
