Having started the season on the physically unable to perform list while he rehabilitates from the devastating left knee injury he suffered in the NFC title game, San Francisco 49ers inside linebacker NaVorro Bowman has to sit out at least the first six weeks of the season.And at that time, he has three weeks to begin practicing with the team. His clock continues ticking because as soon as he steps on the practice field, the 49ers then have three weeks to add him to the 53-man roster.
