Championship?
Man, he has matured to be a good receiver in NY. I didnt know he was even a FA.
IS HE A NUMBER 1?
We could use an upgrade at wr too. Thoughts...

I doubt it'll happen. He'll end up with a team who starving for a receiver and willing to pay him above the market price.

I would say his demand is pretty low compared to so many other receivers out there. And from what Im hearing, the G Men will have a tough time getting under the cap.
I dont know if our rec. coach was at USC in 06 coaching Smith, but if we can negotiate, we should be trying to sign him. He would for sure give Crabtree a run at whos most talented. Maybe that would wake MC up to start playing HARDER.

I though I read in a different thread that he had a serious injure he might not recover from.
But if he's healthy, I'd LOVE to have him on the 9ers. He's not the most exciting WR, but he's almost always open on 3rd down. We haven't had a WR like that in a long time...
Also, wouldn't have been with our WR coach when he was at USC?

I actually really wanted him, but he is still recovering and will probably miss the start of the season. So lets go after someone who is healthy.

because he had microfracture surgery we should be able to get him really cheap and then actually pay money for Malcolm Floyd I say we get both of them.

I agree with this. He is still young and will have a lot of years left. Gotta build for the future. Is a perfect receiver to play the slot.
