Good contribution, ACP. We're all much more enlightened now. We get it. We got it long ago.

pretty sure both Davis and Crabtree can average over 63 yards a game. My guess for 2010 would be..
A. Smith 62% 3,509yds 25td 14int 219.3yds/gm; 24 carries 208yds td
1. Michael Crabtree 83rec 1,089yds 7td 13.1yds/catch ; 68yds/game
2. Vernon Davis 82rec 1,004yds 8td 12.2yds/catch ; 62.75yds/game
/
3. Josh Morgan
4. Frank Gore
5. Ted Ginn JR
6. Delanie Walker
7. Dominique Ziegler > 1,408yds 10td ; 88yds/game
8. Brian Westbrook
9. Kyle Williams
10. Moran Norris
11. Anthony Dixon
12. Nate Byham
13. Michael Robinson

Crabtree is the type of player you like to design plays for and get him the ball, so he will have more yards than VD. VD on the other hand is someone you go to on 3rd down, you see a lb on Davis and you like that match up. The dbs are out wide covering the receivers and you dump it out or on a drag to Davis and let him do his thing and score those redzone tds.

They are going to make it easy on each other.Have y'all done the math? thats only an avg of 62.5 yds per game. thats bad. Alex is going to avg more than 250 yds a game passing. The 2 of them are going to take up at least 65% of those yds and then gore.

I see one or the other getting 1000 yds but not both. I think if SF can get 3000+ combined yds out of Gore VD and Crabs we as fans will have a a lot to be happy about this season. There's also Westbrook, Dix, Ziggy Morgan and (goin out on a limb here) Williams to get another 1000, 1200 maybe 1500 yds.

Were you expecting football analysis or a breakdown from the head of the ACP? Now you know better.
But hey give him credit, at least this post had more than his usual 10 word posts. Baby steps my friend, baby steps.

It comes down to A.Smith. Can he average 230 to 250 yd/game? If so that's 3680 to 4000 yds for the season, and both Crabtree and Davis will have superb seasons with quality contributions from Fore, Westbrook, Morgan, Ginn, Zeigler, Walker...
That would probably be a Pro Bowl season and definite playoffs.
It would be great to get this 7 year bad taste out of my mouth!

I believe that both of them can. I believe that Smith will have a monster year. I believe that we now have the weapons and I believe that we have the oline to get the job done.
I think Smith will stumble forward as he gains confidence in his team. I think the Seattle game will be a game where the run game dominates and Smith will manage it to the tune of 200-250 yards with Gore getting almost two hundred yards. I think Smith will be sorting out the routes and there will be some misfiring but we will win the game.
I believe that the New Orleans game will necessitate more passing. In the New Orleans game we will see about 60 40 percent passing to keep up with Brees. I see this game where Smith will be pushed beyond his normal passing routine and in this game the light will come on that he can pass and that his offense is up to the task. Whether we win or not is not important in this game, but the fact that the light comes on for Smith will be the most important thing. I think that in this game Smith will remember that he is a quality QB and that he can play with the big boys. This game will be the most important game of the year for Smith. I believe that in the New Orleans game Smith will have his first 300 yard game. I believe that he will throw a TD to Ginn and one to Davis as well. I would love to see the score up in the 40s for Smith's sake to remind him that he can do this.
The games after New Orleans Smith will have a little let down and he will fall back a space or two and then he will kick into gear and he will average 250 to 300 yards a game and 2-3 TDs per game. I expect Smith to have a least 5 300+ yard games. He will have his growing pains but he will emerge as a top 10 QB.

You gotta work for 1-800-PSYCHIC.
At any rate I'll take this over the endless Sky is Falling dog and pony show going on elsewhere in the zone.

Is it possible this thread is the reason for Vernon's and Crabtree's fight this morning? I don't mean in a literal sense. I mean, do these guys know that in theory, they're going to chip into each other's numbers and in turn potentially cost each other millions of dollars when they renegotiate contracts?
I hate how money creates these types of dynamics.
