He did have one awesome peel back block on a David Carr run (IIRC). Other than that, I can't recall much that he did.

He did have one awesome peel back block on a David Carr run (IIRC). Other than that, I can't recall much that he did.

He ran a hook route with the QB (Carr, I think). That took real good route running and good timing with the QB to complete a pass with three guys around him.

As long as Zeigler doesn't return punts it's fine with me. He calls for a fair catch almost as soon as the ball leaves the punters foot. Go back and watch the tape. He did it last year as well. From what I read he's a good route runner which is one of the most important things for a WR

I don't think Zeigler has to worry about that anymore.

that one handed near touchdown catch in last weeks game was amazing, too bad he didnt drag his 2nd foot for the TD. he looks like a good pair of hands with a lot of potential.

Really like this guy amidst all the negative talk.
Goes over the middle and makes plays.

People are gonna hang over all the negatives which is alright because were the 49ers and we don't go 0-5 but this guy is gritty and makes things happen.

You know what caught my attention in this game, our last play, when Alex got hit on the INT, with Crabtree/VD both over 100 yards in the game, when Alex needed a sure handed grab....he was throwing it to Ziggy! Means he can be trust by Alex when an important catch needs to be made.

speaking of which, first time I can remember no one had a drop last night? even Ginn made a tough catch over the middle

Props to Zeig for his play last night. He ran good routes and made nice catches. Can't ask for much more than that.
