RB's dont last long. I hope McClueless knows this because Frank Gore is gonna be declining very soon. Also sometimes the decline is very sudden, this is why we need another RB asap. And no Coffee is not the answer.

Frank has at least two good years left in him. We need to be prepared, but you're exaggerating the need just a bit.

I like to do that, it makes for more entertaining banter.

Fair enough.
First off I hate when fans assume that a star veteran is going to be a mentor. I don't know that LT has the ability or the will(regardless of his sales pitch) to be an effective mentor.

But, if he can be one, AP will greatly benefit. Adrian appears to me to be at a cross roads. Will he go down as a great RB of his time or all time? Lately, it has been looking like it will just be the former.

I guess he feels he donesn't have it anymore so he'll hide behind AD and a contending football team. IMO his problem was his heart not his talent. When things were awesome for the chargers he was the glory star. When the ship had a little damage his injuries sat him on the bench. I have more respect for former star RB/players that hit a certain age and gets cut from their respected team and goes to a crappy team to start cause they feel they still have it, vs someone who think they still have it, but willing to be a backup.

Newsflash it isn't up to LT to be a starter. No matter what team he goes to he's not gonna start. when Shaun Alexander got cut who did he go start for? Thomas jones just got 1,400 yards and he signed to back up/split time with Jamal Charles. It isn't gonna happen that old guys get cut and get to go start elsewhere. Those days are dead.

News Flash there are teams out there where he is an automatic starter! For the money LT will be getting he can choose if he goes to a team to start or be a backup! with him going to Minnesota he is a backup.
that o-line cuts 3 years off of his age

LaDainian Tomlinson will sign with the Vikings if an agreement on playing time and money can be reached, according to beat writer Judd Zulgad.

That's a big "if." Tomlinson is going to demand that he takes carries away from Adrian Peterson and will probably want all the third-down work. The Vikings would be wise to let Tomlinson continue to test the market after his Thursday visit and explore the draft for Chester Taylor's replacement.
