I'm still a fan of the OT/Spiller or Spiller/OT combo.
Also not a huge Taylor Mays fan.

He's big, He's strong, and he's raw. The longer he plays the better he will get. He is no where near his ceiling and can easily turn out to be the best OT taken in this years draft.
They said the same thing about Chilo Rachal last year..

I don't like the Mays pick bc the tackle you selected in the 2nd round is raw like you said. What if he is too raw and can't contribute for a year? Then we are stuck with the same line as last year. I just don't want to take that chance.
Also you said when you see Earl Thomas you see Mike Huff. I see Darnell Bing when I see Mays.

Negatives: ...Not a real ballhawk. Misses plays because he is out of position. Does not read keys well and diagnose. Struggles covering man deep. Plays out of control and lacks great change of direction... Gets carried away. Prefers setting up a well-timed hit to break up a play over going for an interception...

Taylor Mays!
THE MOST UNDER RATE PROSPECT OF 2010
Are there a lot of questions about this guy? Yes, of course there is. Coming back for his senior year brought tons of pressure and placed him under a huge microscope. And I truly believe most of his "struggles" come from scheme and not ability. As a freshman Mays had 3 INTs and from then on, he added only 2 more picks.
If you look at the USC defense you see Mays is constently asked to play deep center field. The idea was of course, keep it in front of us. Mays is very coachable and a team player, so he does as he's told, and I think samurai Mike would love having a guy like this on the team.
There is such a thing as over scouting, an I truly believe that is what's happened with Mays. A huge talent and everyone wants to find something wrong with something that looks great.
Let's not forget, that this was a "down" year for Taylor Mays. Yet knowing that, you can easily overlook the fact that Mays had a career high 96 tackles (30 more then any other year at USC)
Don't overlook this guy. I know there are questions but we should all know by now that there is no sure thing, no matter how great everyone thinks they are. I would really be more scared if there was no questions then a lot of questions. Why, you may ask, well it's because it always seems to be that "future HOF" prospect that falls flat on his face. All these questions will just motivate him that much more.
And hell just for s**ts and giggles

definatly not the same player, but a good way to show why over scouting can be bad
