does lacob deserve to be boo'd? Maybe. But not on Chris Mullin's night. It was going great and that just made it awkward and the day after people were talking about Lacob getting boo'd instead of talking about how Mullin got his jersey retired.
You can also make the argument that Lacob shouldnt have even went up to speak

Agreed. Not at the expense of Mullin's retirement ceremony. If fans REALLY want to voice their displeasure and frustrations, stop going to the games.

Concur. I could care less what Ric Bucher has to say on this subject. There was no call for puting a damper on Chris Mullin's big night. This night should have been remembered for honoring one of the Warriors best players ever. Instead, all one remembers is classless booing.
the only thing classless was lacob trying to steal the spotlight by being the last speaker during the ceremony.

and presenting mullins with a trip to hawaii. seriously, thats the best gift you could think of? should have made a statue or something that will live on forever.

lol saying lacob tried to "steal the spotlight" is taking it a little too far imo

Really? How is he stealing the spotlight by showing Mullin some appreciation, considering what the last front office did to him. Presenting a gift for the whole family is a fine gesture. Then asking Mully's daughter to do the countdown for the unveiling of his number. I don't see how that is stealing the spotlight.
i was being a little exaggerated with my statement but if he wanted to show appreciation, he should have done his speech before handing it off to mullins. and that vacation gift is such a joke, mullins is a millionaire and can fly his own way to hawaii whenever he wants, when was the last time you saw someone receive a vacation as their gift for having their jersey retired by the franchise?

werd.. what happened to this cat?

Imagine you didn't trust your owners, your front office, anybody. Imagine they just traded your most entertaining player for an injury-prone center who can't play, and imagine knowing that you can't sign anyone else for two more summers because Biedrins and Jefferson have clogged your cap like a freshman dorm toilet. Imagine you have some of the best fellow fans in the league, only you rarely if ever have a chance to cheer anything. Imagine hearing that, after months and months of Chris Paul rumors and Dwight Howard rumors and "PLAYOFFS! PLAYOFFS! PLAYOFFS!" rhetoric, your team just abruptly told you, "Oh, by the way, we're going to tank the rest of this season because we don't want to be haunted by a stupid trade from four yearsago, but seriously, thanks for paying for season tickets this year.

That's the real problem with the trade in a nut shell. I actually blocked out the Richard Jefferson trade for my own sanity. What a colossial clusterf**k that was. I don't give a flying 747 f**k if Stephen Jackson dropped trou at center court and took a deuce; his contract was expiring next year and he could have been traded for a pick or a player or both. Instead we get Richard Jefferson who hasn't been relevant since the Jason Kidd Nets? And then they go on the radio and pat themselves on the back for getting the Spurs 1st rounder?! Thats like getting a pity handjob on your honeymoon after your wife gave it up to your best man at the reception.

Of course they booed him, he continues to claim to know what's best for everyone even in the face of his growing list of mistakes. A little humility would serve Joe Lacob well. We are Warrior fans we already know we suck, the least he could do is be honest about it.
