not a warriors fan but I'm pretty disappointed that their fans cant put aside their hatred for the owners to celebrate 2 of their greatest players and show respect to Mullin and Barry on their night. It wasn't about the owners it was about Mullin and Barry and people booed during their jersey retirement, such a classless act.

Great arguments in here from last night. I agree with a lot of what crzy and John said, actually. This Warriors organization has completely pissed me off in the past with some of the dumbest moves you can think of. I'm still up in the air about the current trade, but if this FO was really serious about making a playoff push, they would've just kept the roster for the rest of the season and start trading people during the draft. Monta Ellis may still have netted the team Bogut or maybe someone else or draft picks if we actually did make the playoffs. As fans, we all know the FO decided to tank it. Still proclaiming that the team was still aiming for the playoffs just spits at our intelligence. You don't trade your best player for an injured center that's out for the year when you're three games out of a playoff seed and still expect to make it somehow. That, right there, is obvious tanking.

Unless tickets are free, I won't be going to a Warriors game for now. It's just too frustrating to watch and I refuse to throw my money away like that, especially for a roster as flawed as the one we currently have.

About the fans, I think they're as stupid as most Raider fans. The booing last night was completely classless. This was a night for Chris Mullin, a legend for the Warriors and one of the best to ever play the game. It was a historic night for him to get that #17 retired and hung up. All the fans cared about was Lacob and making sure he hears how they feel. They forgot all about Mullin. Or maybe the majority of fans now are too young to even appreciate Chris Mullin. It was just disrespectful, difficult to watch, and it's really something when legends like Barry, Attles, and Thurmond were real disappointed in the fans. I was one of the biggest Monta supporters in here, but no way no how would I take part in a boofest that ruined the jersey retirement ceremony.

The fans showed Mullin plenty of appreciation. They booed Lacob and they were justified.

The Warriors organization and not the fans are responsible for this debacle for four reasons.
1) They decided to host a jersey retiring ceremony after they've acknowledged that their season is over.
2) Their owner loves to hear himself talk and decided to interject himself needlessly in the proceedings, despite his obvious lack of public speaking skills.
3) Their owner and coach boasted that this team would make the playoffs this year and now have egg on their face.
4) The Warriors have no future.

Mullin got plenty of love.

And the Warriors fans picked a perfect oppurtunity to show Lacob their dissasfaction with his incompetence.

"@SwimGuru: @MarkKreidler The Hall of Famer is right. A lot of young & dumb fans booing. It's was embarrassing to be one of the "Best Fans in the NBA"."

@EkpeUdoh: Did they really boo the owner like that?!?!"

"@EkpeUdoh: Hahahahahahahaha This is too much"

Sorry crz, can't agree with you there. Lacob is at every game. If the fans really wanted to show their dissatisfaction, then heckle him at the game, not during the jersey retirement ceremony for possibly the greatest Warrior to play the game. They talked about it on the radio that right now, people aren't talking about #17 being retired, they're talking about the owner getting booed out of the arena. And unfortunately, that's probably what's going to come up often when they think about Mullin's jersey being retired.

I'm almost sure that the reason all the fans are booing is because of the Monta trade. I love Monta Ellis. He's still one of my favorite players to watch. But fans need to move on from the trade. If they were really that pissed, then don't go to any more games.

Mullin, possibly the greatest Warrior to ever play the game,….uh not even close. Come on now.

Like I said, the Warriors were short-sighted in planning this event.

He's not grabbing the mic and addressing the crowd during the game.

True, but he sits front row every game. He'll still hear the heckling there.

Sure, and I'm sure he gets that too. But last night he was holding a mic in the middle of the court with a spotlight on him. He was the center of attention. Crzy's exactly right, and it's unfortunate that Mullin was caught in the crossfire. The real mistake was Lacob and Barry responding. Gas on the fire.

I agree about Barry. That was some intense s**t right there.
I was just looking at the "draft notes" section of nbadraft.net, where they list all of the outstanding trades that impact draft order. At the end of each draft note, it explains where the pick came from. Every one of them says something like "Terrence Williams trade", "Lamar Odom trade", etc.

Except one.

Warriors receive the Spurs 2012 (protected) first-round pick. (taking Richard Jefferson's contract)
