Tim Kawakami @timkawakami
Joe Lacob looked stunned that he was almost booed off the floor at Mullin's ceremony. Think that was pent-up frustration, but... my goodness
Matt Steinmetz @MSteinmetzCSN
It was eerily similar to when former owner Chris Cohan got booed at the 2001 All-Star game in Oakland.
was it really that bad?
theres gotta be a video up on youtube soon

Disrespectful would be booing Mullin.
Warrior fans who pay Joe Lacob to watch a s**tty product with no future have every right to boo that man whenever they damn well please.

I'm actually very anxious to see how Lacob responds to this.
You guys remember Chris Cohan was booed at the 2000 NBA All-Star game, and then diseappeared out of sight for a decade...letting Robert Rowell take the reigns.
Let's see if Lacob has more stones than Cohan.

Please. There is a time and a place and this wasnt the time to boo.

Best. Retirement Ceremony. Ever!
Rick Barry going all angry dad on the fans. Now LOOK we already said You're the best fans in the League! Show some class!
The team canceling the tank in the 2nd half to pacify the crowd.
You promise playoffs in November and are tanking by March expect to be booed plain and simple.

Lacob did a terrible job controlling the crowd. He should of spoke through it. Instead he eggs them on with a total condescending "now that THATS over...". Couldn't handle it worse really, they had a lecture in the middle of a retirement ceremony. So sad, yet so hilarious.

Lacob should have stayed home. But he wanted his PR moment. He wanted to take part in some of Mullin's glory.
When Joe Lacob has done nothing to earn any appreciation from Warrior fans. Thus far, he's shown himself to be completely incompetent but full of a ton of bravado.
Hopefully, this brings Lacob back to his senses.

Lacob got a very flawed roster that had no hope of being a playoff contender. He screwed up with the amnesty issue obviously but he is buying draft picks and trying to make this team a contender. I guess these stupid ass fans would prefer Cohen who did nothing ever.

I can't believe how stupid the Warriors organization is.
Why would you even retire Mullin's jersey when your season is over and the fanbase is bitter. You should have retired it on the first home game of the year when fans still have hope.
That's just so short-sighted.

Seems like they knew they were moving Monta this year and this was meant to pacify the fans and sell out a meaningless game.

The thing is, Lacob set himself up for criticism with his bold proclamations of success and arrogant belief in his own basketball knowledge.
Is there any other owner in the NBA who claims to watch tape of prospects. Any other owner who flatly declares that he has the final say on all basketball decisions.
Nobody can deny Joe Lacob's passion for basketball. But it's hard to actually have faith in his ability to produce a winning franchise.
