Now if only Tiger could get back to half of what he used to be it could be a nice rivalry between the two. It'd be great for golf as well

I think Rory can beat him. Tiger is 35 with a severly injured leg. It might take him 2 years to get that leg back to full strength. He will be 36 later this year. He will be 37 you figure by the time he is back at full strength. Rory is the young new generation. It will be tough for Tiger to over take him if Rory can stay mentally tough.

The greens were as soft as can be which didn't fully punish players from the rough. The rough was way shorter than it was in last year's open and at 2000 when Tiger was the only player under par. However when Tiger gets back to playing like "Tiger" there is no way Rory would stand a chance coming down the back 9 of major. Rory better take full advantage of this opportunity because when Tiger gets back its a whole new ballgame. Rory needs that killer instinct that all the great closers have.

Tiger will be 36 THIS YEAR. And he has a bum knee. So he is on the backside of his 30's with an injured knee. There is no guarantee he ever returns to form. He hasn't won a major since 2008. That's a 3 year drought with a bad knee to boot.

Rory has the best swing on the tour now. And now he knows he can do it so his confidence will be high.

Tiger is still on pace to break Nicklaus' record for major championships and Jack won his last at age 46. When Tiger's swing is on nobody's iron game is even close.
