Hawks Leave Tickets For Jameer Nelson At Will Call
Before the NBA playoffs began, Jameer Nelson told Derrick Rose that he would see him in the second round. Basically, Nelson was insinuating that the Orlando Magic would defeat the Atlanta Hawks and move on to face the Chicago Bulls in the second round. Well, the Hawks did not appreciate Nelson’s comments and handily defeated the Magic in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Hawks PR man Arthur Triche was particularly offended by Nelson’s comments, so now he has gone out of his way to leave a pair of tickets for Jameer Nelson at will call for tonight’s Hawks vs. Bulls game. If you can’t make it Jameer, tweet us @tnspsportsnet and we will attend for you.
Joe Johnson had one of those games where it just seemed like every shot he took went in. Also, Crawford was making some run-stopping shots too. This game just served notice to the Bulls that what worked against the Pacers, aint gonna work against the Hawks. We came out sluggish to start the game, just like the first 4 Pacer games. The Bulls just need to come out strong and quit with the stupid turnovers. Boozer actually showed some life, and the bench played pretty well, especially in the 2nd quarter. They didn't do too well in the 4th, there was a stretch where Taj was just all over the place and missing shots right around the rim.
I expect the Bulls to come out stronger and for Rose to be more aggressive to start the game. I'm pretty sure, more like hoping, that Johnson won't be as hot as he was. If Boozer has it going like he showed, we need to get him more involved. Anyways, I still feel good about the Bulls, the Hawks just showed they aren't pushovers like people were making them out to be. Can't wait for Game 2.
