Can someone explain to me why a former NFL HC (and a successful one) who would be coveted by a number of NFL teams would want to coach at the college level?

Why would he leave his cushy GM job to return to the stressful world of being a HC? Oh and he is still under contract in Cleveland.

well, idk if its official yet

He still lives in the florida area iirc

will get paid around the same amount as he would have in nfl

allows his brother to get a job

And, since its not official yet, he could just be driving up his price. ie Gruden can say "Hey NFL teams, pay me money or Im just gonna coach the U"
