Should be behind Boise.
This. Oh well. I knew there was no way Boise would be getting a NT shot anyways. The Ducks are a good team so it's not really a big deal to me. People in the media before the season started tried to gives reasons on why Boise would have a chance but unlike most Boise State fans, I wasn't going to get my hopes up. The fact they've already been leapfrogged in the rankings this early in the season really isn't a shocker for me.
Boise just has to keep winning and handle their business. The schedule will always be Boise States achilles heel.
The BCS projections on ESPN today show Boise then Oregon. Ohio St at 5! They did make a good point that Boise will probably keep the #1 slot for a couple weeks then strength of schedule would drop their computer rankings and out of first.
Yeah, I was actually surprised to see that. If Nevada can keep doing there thing and get higher up in the Rankings, it would probably help out Boise States strength of schedule. With that said though, Nevada is a solid team and they shouldn't be taken lightly. I have faith in Coach Peterson and the coaching staff to have his team prepared though. One game at a time for Boise State.
I would love to somehow see a Boise State vs. Oregon National Title game. Would be pretty interesting matchup IMO. Still, I don't see how Ohio State could not possibly be involved if they run the table on their remaining competition.
Like you said, the strength of schedule is what will probably hurt Boise States chances though. More than likely if Oregon and Ohio State keep playing the way they have and finish undefeated, they'll likely be the teams in the NT game. Still plenty of games left in the season though to get too far ahead of myself.
